ABOUT THE CHIXIE DICKS
The Chixie Dicks were founded in the fall of 2006 by a few regulars at Sonny's Bar and Grill when they were concerned about helping Ted Long raise money for the area shelters and families in need at Christmas time. From casual patio jamming on a Friday afternoon, the Dicks began to draw from their musical pasts to assemble a band. The band began as a self-deprecating unit of misfits who kept to the comforts of their own establishment.  Playing with adhoc personnel at the beginning, they succeeded in helping raise a few thousand dollars for In The Spirit Of Christmas over two appearances at Sonny's. Word of this humour-based troupe began to spread by word of mouth over the following weeks and in May, 2007 they were invited to perform by kicking off the marathon fundraiser Rockin' For Dad for Prostate Research at Bass Line Station.	Throughout 2007, the ever-evolving project has seen line-up changes and musical advancement.  Today, the Chixie Dicks are 8 members strong and have morphed from a country/folk acoustic base to full-on rock & roll with an electric flavour.
